It’s supposed to rain tomorrow night…
Looking at the weather forecast is a great resource to help you pack for your trip and plan your photo session. I get asked all the time about my weather policy. I also get panicked phone calls or texts from clients who looked at the weather for 2 days from now or even for the next day (which is totally what I would do!) However, Hilton Head Island is just like most islands in the south. Rain is often forecasted, but rain showers rarely last all day. The key to a successful photo session if rain is forecasted is flexibility.
I want you to get amazing photos (like the ones above!) and have fun. As a photographer rain clouds on the beach are amazing and create great light for photos. I work around the hourly forecast and radar and sometimes sit in my car while waiting for a shower to end that popped up! I have truly only had to reschedule a handful of sessions to different days due to rain. I can usually work around the rain showers by moving the session up or back time wise. Communication is important along with with consideration of time on both sides. I don’t want you to feel stressed before the session even begins.
Flexibility and communication are key to success for photo sessions (and in life😉).
We will figure it out together and make magic happen on Hilton Head Island!
Besides it’s the Lowcountry so you are guaranteed rain, humidity, bugs – seen & unseen, hearing “y’all” a LOT, and a relaxing good time!
