One of the things I love about Spring in Knoxville is watching all the trees bloom as well as new leaves sprouting on the limbs. It seriously bring me joy and gives me butterflies. Nature is such an amazing thing, and I have always found peace surround by her. So when we moved to Knoxville last year, I couldn’t wait for spring to roll around this year. I also discovered I love not only Dogwoods, but also Redbuds (though they are pink and always love Pear trees at spring time!)
I was excited to photograph my friend and her lovely family. They were a hoot to work with on this gorgeous spring day. We did the photo session off Cherokee Boulevard in Knoxville which has a fabulous running/walking trail down the middle of the median surrounded by trees and right along the Tennessee River. Since it close to the water, it was quite windy once we moved out location to be beside the water.
Besides getting updated family pictures, it was also RB’s birthday weekend. Her oldest drove in from Nashville to celebrate. I work with RB and she has been a lifesaver for me! Not only does she have a fun and energetic personality, but she is kind and genuinely cares about you. I found out in January that I have Celiac Disease, which was quite the shock because I had little to know symptoms which would raise red flags. RB has helped me adjust and shared some gluten free products and recipes with me. So I had no problem taking her family’s photos and getting to know her fun and crazy kiddos! We laughed a lot and cried due to the strong wind in their faces!
