This summer started out with loads of rain and has moved right into the hot and humid weather I am used to having. While it is much nicer in the Smoky Mountains, you still can’t escape the humidity. I have really been fortunate this summer to photograph such wonderful families in Gatlinburg this year. I loved emailing with this family and then getting to meet them. Their outfits were adorable. Now the little girl (V) was quite shy at first, and I was not sure if I could win her over, but by the end of the session she was ready for all photos and asking for me! She did not have single tear and was a champ just like her baby brother. She is going to be a rock star older sister.

One thing that I love about the ages of these kiddos is that the trips are perfect to bring grandparents along and snag a few photos everyone. I love being able to capture families on their vacations to the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee. Not to mention how perfect are mom and daughter’s dresses – so stinking cute!

I do get asked on many family sessions to take a special photo of the second child that is similar to one taken with the oldest around the same age. I love doing this because it allows family to have something else to cherish and I also know they love being able to look at both kids in the same poses. for this family it was dad holding the baby in the air – which you can tell little man was completely loving it! Smoky Mountain session for the win!!
